2005-07-24 My birthday
My birthday fell on the full moon again this year and we had our first moon circle on my new property (10 acres), and our first circle ever in water!
Birthdays are like a personal new year to me, and my past year was a little rough, so this was a lovely way to start my new one.
The following night, my wonderful husband took me out to the movies and we stopped by the new house (under renovation) to check on something. I walked into the house and was suprised by 14 of my fabulous friends with my first ever suprise party! I was truly suprised.
We feasted and enjoyed each other's company in the middle of our pile of rubble, then went night swimming until 1am!
I can cry at the drop of a hat - sad movies, happy movies, Hallmark commercials, you name it. But I have only cried in front of a group of people twice, and this was second time, when I was suprised by all of these people taking time out of their busy schedules and, for some of them, driving quite a way just to celebrate my birthday. I continued to feel teary for the next two days whenever I thought about it. It's very touching. Or I'm entering menopause. Or both :)
Life is good. We've finally gotten our acreage, with a small, but evolving house and my first swimming pool. There is a lot of work to do on the house, but we chip away at it. My kitchen is going to be six different colors - daisy yellow, tangerine orange, lime green, raspberry red, grape purple and turquoise blue. I'm either artistic or crazy. Or both.
Or I'm entering menopause :)
I'm quitting my full time job so that I can devote my time to the shop, the website, tarot readings and classes. So I'm devoting my time to YOU!
We should start construction on the expansion of the shop in September and, hopefully get it done before Samhain (Halloween).
